Delgado Basketball traveled to Meridian, Mississippi on Saturday to open Miss-Lou Conference play against Meridian Community College.

In the Ladies' game, Delgado led by seven points at the half but could not hold back Meridian, falling to the Eagles 63-57. Ali Sheppard and Jackie Breland led the scoring with 17 points each.

The Delgado Men carried their 43-35 halftime lead into the second half, defeating Meridian 82-73. Melvin Davis led the Dolphins with 22 points, Tyson Magee had 21, and Jamon Gray had 10 points.

The Lady Dolphins will host LSU-Eunice at 6:00 Wednesday in the Michael Williamson Center.
