Delgado Basketball traveled to Monroeville, Alabama Friday for its season openers against Alabama Southern in the Alabama Southern Invitational Tournament.

The Lady Dolphins defeated Alabama Southern 67-63 to open the campaign. India Giles led with 12 points, Erielle Stewart had 11 points and 12 rebounds.

The Dolphin Men fell to Alabama Southern 82-68. Jeffery Dixon and Markel Williams led Delgado with 16 points each. EJ Winston had 10.

The Dolphins will face Faulkner State on Saturday in the Alabama Southern Invitational in Monroeville. Delgado will host Pearl River on Monday in their home opener. Ladies tip off at 5:00, followed by the Men's game at 7:00.
