Biography

Edward Kai Simmons is in his first season with the Dolphins.

A native of Gainesville, Simmons is a 2010 graduate of P.K. Yonge High School, where he was a four-year football letterman and a five-year baseball letterman, prepping under his father Brian. He earned Defensive MVP honors in 2008, 2009, and 2010. He was also a member of the Blue Wave’s 2010 District Championship team.

Simmons attended Santa Fe College for a brief period before transferring to Delgado last fall.

Born on February 23, 1992, Kai is the son of Brian and Kiersten Simmons. He has a sister, Kayla and a brother, Fletcher.
