Biography

Luke Anthony Voiron joins Delgado for his sophomore season.

A native major, Luke is a 2011 graduate of Jesuit High School (along with several other Delgado teammates). He was a three-year letterman under Coach Joey Latino, earning All-District honors as a bluejay catcher. He batted .425 his senior season when Jesuit captured the 2011 State Championship.

Last season, he made 38 appearances as a freshman, compiling a .284 batting average with 27 hits and 12 RBIs. As a catcher, he posted 154 putouts with a .973 fielding percentage.

This past summer, Voiron was a member of the New Orleans-based Retif Oil & Fuel team that captured the 2012 American Legion National Championship.

Born on January 4, 1993, Luke is the son of Anthony and Mary Beth Voiron. He has one sister, Marlaina.
