Delgado Community College Athletics

Tyler continues the family tradition as a third generation member of the Delgado Staff.

In addition to his work with the College’s Office of Institutional Advancement as Advancement Coordinator, Tyler oversees the college’s Athletic Communications, including media relations, community relations, statistics, sports marketing, and delgadoathletics.com content manager. Tyler also oversees student-athlete academic advising and many of Dolphins' off-field responsibilities including game management, events, travel, and facility operations.He is a frequent contributor to the campus events and other campus projects.

A Delgado alumnus, Scheuermann received his Associate’s degree in Print  Broadcast Journalism & Public Relations. While at Delgado, he was a member of the Delgado Honors Program, Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, Sigma Chi Eta, and was named to the Who's Who Among College Students in April 2009 and April 2010. He earned his bachelor's with a concentration in Communications. He is a 2007 graduate of Brother Martin High School.

Tyler is the son of Delgado Head Baseball Coach Joe Scheuermann and the grandson of the late "Rags" Scheuermann. He is a member of the Greater New Orleans Sports Awards Selection Committee,  First District American Legion Baseball Commission, The Louisiana Sports Writers’ Association, and CoSIDA.
