Delgado opened 2012 Miss-Lou Conference play on Saturday afternoon with a road doubleheader at Baton Rouge Community College.
Trailing by ten at halftime, Delgado could not overcome defecit, falling to the Bears 74-69. Claudia Tasker led the Dolphins with 15 points, assisted by Jacqueline Breland (14) Kirsten Black (11), and Kayla Jackson (10).
The Delgado Men carried a 34-20 lead into the half and continued to dominate throughout the game, defeated Baton Rouge 78-70. Rashaun Claiborne led with 27 points and Richard Bienvenu had 16 to lead the Dolphins (13-6) to their first conference win of the season.
Delgado returns to the Williamson Center on Wednesday evening, hosting Meridian in another Miss-Lou matchup. The Lady Dolphins tip-off at 5:00, followed by the Men's game at 7:00.
