Delgado Basketball hit the road Saturday for two separate road games...

The Lady Dolphins traveled to Jones County to make up their season opener, which was postponed last Thursday following travel problems. Delgado led 35-31 at halftime before falling to the Bobcats 68-58 to open the season 0-1. Raven Lyons led the scoring with 27 and Diamond Scott had 10 points.

The Dolphin Men traveled to Springhill College to face Springhill JV, walking away with a 64-53 win to improve to 1-1 on the season. Melvin Davis led Delgado with 22 points. Patrick Gales scored 15 points with 10 rebounds to aid the Dolphin victory.

Delgado opens their 2012-13 homestand this Tuesday with a doubleheader against Mississippi Gulf Coast at Delgado's Michael Williamson Center. The Lady Dolphins tip-off at 5:00, followed by the Men's game at 7:00 p.m.
