Basketball closes out Regular Season

Delgado closed out its regular season schedule by splitting an afternoon doubleheader against Southern-Shreveport Saturday in the Williamson Center.

In the Women’s game, Delgado trailed by ten at the half but rebounded for a 67-60 victory over the Jaguars. Andralina Marshell led the Dolphin scoring with 18 points, followed by Claudia Tasker (16), Jacqueline Breland (14), and Kirsten Black (11).

The Delgado Men fell behind early, trailing 44-19 at the half and never recovered, falling to Southern-Shreveport 79-51 to close out its regular season. Delgado was led by Jauries Thomas with 10 points and Patrick Gales’ 9 points while Ty King led Southern-Shreveport with 28 to dominate the scoring.
