The Dolphins opened their 2025-26 season this weekend with three games over two days.

Friday, the Lady Dolphins picked up a 67-63 win over Southern Arkansas University Tech in the Lady Bear Classic in Baton Rouge. Taylor Thomas had 28 points and Kelsey Robinson and Tori Walker each had 11.

Saturday, Illinois Central defeated Delgado 83-77 in the Lady Bear Classic. Taylor Thomas had 22 points. Tori Walker had 12, and Miracle Irving had 10.

The Delgado Men hosted Baton Rouge Post Grad Academy in its season opener Saturday afternoon in the Williamson Center. The Dolphins carried a commanding 52-29 lead into the half before adding another 59 points in the second half to take the 111-63 opening day win. Oren Bowen led the effort with 24 points. Amir Rios and James Chaney each had 14 and Kaden Joseph and Christian Creppel each posted 12. Bounds finished the day with 15 rebounds and 7 assists.

Both teams will travel to Holmes Community College Tuesday.
