Delgado split its doubleheader on Friday, defeating Rend Lake College 2-0 and falling to Pensacola State 3-0 in the second day of the"Rags" Scheuermann Memorial Tournament at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.

In the first game, Delgado scored two runs in the first inning on back to back RBI singles by Austin Barrois and Cameron Hoffman, scoring Logan Jones and Brady Williamson who had reached on an infield error and a single respectively. John DeArmond picked up the win on the mound as the Dolphins picked up their first win of the season.

In game two, Pensacola State scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning following three singles and a double to defeat Delgado 3-0 and hand Delgado their second loss of the season. Evan Chacon (0-1) earned the loss in relief of starter Pierce Liberta.

Delgado will play a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon following a noon game between Pensacola State and Rend Lake. The second game is expected to begin around 2:30 p.m.
