Box Score Delgado swept Copiah-Lincoln in a doubleheader Tuesday evening at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.
In the first game, Kyle Bracey's two-out triple scored the tying run (Cole Freeman led off with a single) in the bottom of the seventh before Dylan Weston's RBI single to lift Delgado to a 4-3 walkoff victory. Delgado took an early 2-0 lead in the second on a solo homerun by Kyle Bracey and a wild pitch-induced run by Josh Magee. Copiah-Lincoln scored a run in the third on a wild pitch and took the lead in the seventh, scoring two runs on two hits before Delgado's win in the bottom of the inning. Connor McWilliams picked up the win after relieving starter Troy Lewis and Jarett Gongora.Â
Delgado dominated the second game, defeating Co-Lin 14-0 in a game determined by the ten run rule. Starter Brett Leonhard earned his first win of  the season, pitching four innings and allowing only one hit before being relieved by Laine Fontenot in the fifth. Offensively, the Dolphins were led by Bryce Adams (2 for 2, 3 runs, 3 RBIs, 1 Homerun), Dylan Weston (2 for 2, 3 RBIs), and Cody Ducote (2 for 2, 1RBI).
Delgado (4-0) returns to action on Thursday, February 19 when they host College of St. Joseph (New York) in a four-day set at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.
