Box Score 2 Delgado Baseball split its Saturday doubleheader in Wesson, MS.

In game one, Northwest Mississippi scored the game's first run on a solo home run by Clay Casey in the second inning. Delgado answered in the third when Tyler St. Philip reached base on a lead off double, advanced on a walk, and scored when Kyle Bracey was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to the game. The game remained tied until the seventh, when Troy Lewis reached on a fielder's choice, stole second, advanced on a failed pickoff attempt, and scored on Cody Ducote's RBI single to lift Delgado to the 2-1 win. Jonathan Ebersole picked up his second win of the season on the mound in relief of starter Brooks Vial, who pitched 4.1. Both pitchers combined for 11 strikeouts.

In game two against host Copiah-Lincoln, Delgado struck first, scoring three runs on four hits in the first and a run in the second inning on sacrifice fly. Co-Lin posted single runs in the first three innings and trailed 4-3 until the sixth inning when the Wolfpack posted three runs on three hits (including two doubles) to take a 6-4 lead over the Dolphins, and the eventual victory. Jarrett Gongora picked up the loss in relief of starter Andrew Mitchell. Spencer Veit faced the final two batters of the game during his sixth inning appearance.

Delgado (10-2) returns to action next weekend when they travel to Pensacola for a weekend series against Snead State and Pensacola State College.
