St. Patrick's Day win extends streak to 16 games!

Box Score
On a beautiful St. Patrick's Day at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium, Delgado defeated St. Charles Community College 7-2 Sunday to sweep the three-game weekend series and extend their win streak...
St. Charles scored the game's first run in the top of the first inning when Zach Elledge walked with the bases loaded. Delgado's Cody Farrell answered with a solo homerun in the third to tie the game 1-1 before Bubby Riley's RBI-triple scored Brady Williamson to allow the Dolphins to take a one-run lead. St. Charles' Trey Pirkle grounded out to score a run in the top of the fifth, which tied the game at two. Delgado enjoyed a five run, five hit seventh inning which included a double by Cody Farrell, a single by Logan Jones, an RBI single by Bubby Riley, a two-RBI double by Cameron Hoffman and a two-RBI single by Jordan Caillouet to close the game's scoring and secure Delgado's 7-2 victory. Kyle Deckwa earned his fourth win of the season on the mound for Delgado, appearing in the seventh inning in relief of starter John DeArmond, who pitched six and a third innings.
With the win, Delgado improves to 24-3 on the season and ties a college record with its current win streak (16 games) previously set in 1992. Delgado will host South Central District rival Jefferson College this Tuesday and Wednesday at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium before opening Miss-Lou conference play next weekend.
