Box Score
Delgado opened its weekend series against College of Dupage (Illinois) with a 12-1 victory Thursday evening at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.
Delgado's offensive explosion opened in the first inning with Austin Barrois' triple, Chris Eades' double (which plated Barrois), and Cody Ducote's two run homerun to score Eades and give Delgado an 3-0 command. Delgado added another three runs in the second following three doubles by Bryce Adams, Josh Watkins, and Austin Barrois. A two run third a four-run fourth cushioned the Delgado lead as the Dolphins walked away with the 12-1 win, their tenth of the season. Dupage's solo run came in the fourth inning when Mike Hansen's single scored Nico Chaidez, who reached base on a double. Delgado starter Jordan Priddle went the distance, pitching five innings of the ten-run-rule contest with five hits and five strikeouts to earn his second win of the season.
Delgado (10-1) will return to action on Friday as part of a triple-header scheduled at Kirsch-Rooney. Dupage will face Copiah-Lincoln at 1:00 p.m., followed by Delgado vs. Copiah-Lincoln at 4:00, and Delgado vs. Dupage at 7:00 p.m.Â
