Box Score Delgado defeated Baton Rouge Community College 7-5 Sunday at Pete Goldsby Field in game three of the 2015 Region XXIII Conference Championship Series.

Cole Freeman opened the game with a triple and scored on a groundout to give the Dolphins an early 1-0 lead in the first. Baton Rouge took a 3-1 lead in the second on an infield error, two singles, and a two-run double by Steven Bright.Â

In the top of the 3rd, Troy Lewis' solo homerun to left center cut the Baton Rouge lead to a run and jump-started a Delgado rally that was followed by a double by Cody Ducote (who scored on a sacrifice fly by Kyle Bracey) and an RBI single by Christian Volion, that scored Owen Magee (who reached on a double).Â

The Dolphins added two more runs in the fourth on a sacrifice flies by Cody Ducote (scoring Garrett Shano who reached on an error) and Bryce Adams (scoring Cole Freeman).Â

Devin Morrill singled to open the Delgado eighth and scored on Cole Freeman's single for Delgado's seventh and final run.Â

Baton Rouge added a solo run in the eighth inning Zach McCown tripled and scored on a passed ball. The Bears left a runner stranded with one out in the bottom of the ninth.Â

Connor McWilliams earned the win on the mound, pitching 5.1 innings with Troy Lewis appearing in relief and earning the save after starting the game at third base.

Delgado (28-13, 2-1) takes a 2-1 lead in the series, which continues Monday with a 3:00 game at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.
