Delgado completed a four-game conference series sweep over Baton Rouge Community College with Sunday's 8-4 win at "Rags" Scheuermann Field at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.
Baton Rouge struck first, capitalizing on four singles to plate two runs and take the early 2-0 lead in the second inning. In the fourth, Riley Rowell led off the frame with a single and scored on a single by Sebastian Rhoades to cut the lead to a run. Jack Marcantel reached on a single and Joe Monaghan reached on a fielder's choice before Lenny Cline's three run homerun gave Delgado the 4-2 lead. A sacrifice fly plated a third Bear run in the fifth. In the seventh, Lenny Cline's double scored Joe Monaghan, who led off the inning with a single and advaned on a wild pitch. Gavin Kennedy singled to plate Cline before being erased on a double play. Dominick Letort walked before Riley Rowell's homerun plated two to expand the Dolphins to eight runs. Cooper Martin doubled in the eighth to plate a fourth Baton Rouge run before reliever Jude Tingstrom retired four of the final five Bear batters to earn the save. Tingstrom entered the game in relief of starter Jacob Heiden, who pitched 5.1 innings to earn the win on the mound in the Dolphins' final home game of the 2026 schedule.
Delgado (25-11, 10-2) will travel to Chalmette next weekend for a four game series at Noel Suarez Stadium. First pitch is set for Friday at 7pm.
