Delgado defeated #7-LSU-Eunice 10-0 in six innings Thursday to open the weekend conference series at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.

The Dolphins strung together fourteen hits in five innings, the first coming on a solo homerun by Everett Denny to open the second inning. In the fourth, Delgado sent nine batters to the plate to score five runs on six hits, including a sacrifice fly by Lenny Cline, a three run triple by Frank Randol, and an RBI single by Dominick Letort. Denny opened the fifth with a bunt single and scored on a double by Jack Marcantel. Marcantel scored on back-to-back wild pitches. Gavin Kennedy led off the sixth with a walk, advanced on a wild pitch, and scored on a single by Riley Rowell. Rowell scored on a walkoff single by Everett Denny for the tenth Dolphin run, closing the game in six innings with a 10-0 mercy rule win.

Starting pitcher Giancarlo Arencibia went the distance, holding the Bengals to only two hits and only face two batters above the minimum in the shutout performance.
