A local summer tradition continues this weekend...summer baseball at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium! The diamond will host a special Memorial Day kick-off schedule for First & Second District American Legion baseball:

The complete 2012 American Legion schedule will be available on the Kirsch-Rooney Stadium section of the website next week. In addition to American Legion Baseball, the annual All-American League will also call the stadium home this summer. Both storied programs have been tenants since the ballpark opened its gates in June 1957, fifty-five summers ago.

The stadium's summer session will close this August when Delgado and Kirsch-Rooney host the American Legion Mid-South Regional, featuring state champs from seven surrounding states.
