LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLORIDA -- Delgado Community College defeated Muscatine Community College in both games of Friday's doubleheader in the Disney Spring Training Invitational at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort. Game 1 wrapped in a 6-2 victory while the Dolphins took game 2 in a 10-0, mercy rule decision.

In the first game, Muscatine took an early 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI single. Delgado's Daniel Lahare answered with a double in the bottom of the inning to score Robbie Podorsky, who reached as a hit batsman. In the third, Robbie Podorsky reached on a double and later scored on a wild pitch for a second run. Toi Jackson drove in a run in the fourth inning on an RBI single to score Christian Volion, who reached on a single. Daniel Lahare led off the fifth with a triple, scoring on Owen Magee's single the following at-bat. Magee later scored on a single by JP LaGreco. LaGreco scored for a sixth and final Delgado run as a result of an infield error druing Christian Volion's at-bat. Evan Hileman earned the win on the mound, allowing two runs and striking out ten Muscatine batters.

In game two, Delgado dominted offensively by scoring three in the first inning, four in the second, and three in the third enroute to a 10-0 victory in a game shortened to five innings by mercy rule. Daniel Lahare singled in the first, scoring on a single by Spener Miller. Miller scored on an infield error that allowed Dylan Weston to reach base. Weston advanced when JP LaGreco was hit by a pitch and scored on Christian Volion's single. Lahare doubled in the second to score Toi Jackson, who reached on a walk. Lahare scored on a single by Spencer Miller. Miller scored on a wild pitch following a single by Dylan Weston. Volion's second single of the game drove in Weston. Delgado added three final runs in the third on a bases-loaded walk by Dylan Weston and a two-run single by JP LaGreco. Laine Fontenot earned his second win of the season on the mound for Delgado, pitching the complete game shutout.

Delgado closes their Disney Spring Training appearance Saturday with a 10:30 a.m. EST doubleheader against Brooksdale College (New Jersey) at the ESPN Wide World of Sports.
