Delgado picked up an 8-2 win over Southeastern Community College (Iowa) Friday in a 9-inning contest at "Rags" Scheuermann Field at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.

Southeastern posted two runs on three hits, including two doubles to open the scoring with a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. In the bottom of the inning, Delgado's Riley Rowell reached on a single, advanced on a wild pitch, and scored on a single by Dominick Letort to cut the lead to a run. The Dolphins sent nine batters to the plate to add four runs in the fourth. Letort reached on a leadoff walk, advanced on singles by Jack Marcantel and Sebastian Rhoades, and scored on a bases loaded walk to tie the game 2-2. Marcantel and Rhoades scored on a fielder's choice and infield error that allowed Lenny Cline to reach base. An RBI single by Gavin Kennedy plated Cline for a fifth Delgado run. The offense continued in the fifth when Letort reached on a single and scored on a triple by Everett Denny, who scored on a single by Sebastian Rhoades. Letort's third single of the day drove inn Riley Rowell in the seventh for an eighth and final Delgado run before the 8-2 win.

Delgado starter Giancarlo Arencibia picked up the win on the mound, pitching five innings, striking out eight and allowing two runs. Chase Williamson closed the game for the save, retiring twelve of the fifteen batters he faced.

The Dolphins will meet Pensacola State in a 1pm doubleheader Saturday at Pirate Park in Pensacola and a single contest Sunday.
