Delgado dropped its Sunday series finale in a 13-3, five inning contest to LSU-Eunice in Eunice, Louisiana.
The Dolphins hit the board in the second inning on back to back homeruns by Sebastian Rhoades and Jack Marcantel. LSU-Eunice answered with two runs in the bottom frame to tie the game 2-2. Frank Randol reached on a double in the third and scored on a double by Everett Denny to put Delgado on top by a run before the Bengals responded with a seven run third inning, including a three run double by Tyler Mitchell and homeruns back-to-back homeruns by Mason Bordelon and Caleb Hastings. Another three run homerun from Mason Bordelon gave LSU-Eunice the 13-3 lead and eventual mercy win to close the four game conference series. Jacob Heiden pitched 2.1 innings with Jordan Oberle closing 1.2 in relief.
Delgado (29-15, 14-6) will travel to Baton Rouge this Thursday for a four game weekend series against Baton Rouge Community College to close the regular season schedule.
